What are microbes?

Microbes are tiny living things that are all around us, even on you!

Imagine if your toy blocks were super, super small, so small you could only see them with a magnifying glass or a special kind of microscope. That’s like looking at microbes, which are much smaller than the smallest grain of sand.

Like a whole city inside your body

Your body is full of microbes, some live on your skin, and others live inside you, like in your tummy. They help you digest food, keep you healthy, and even protect you from bad guys that try to make you sick!

Microbes are everywhere

You can find microbes in the air you breathe, on your favorite snacks, and even in your pet’s fur. Some of them are friendly, like helpers who clean up after you, while others might be mischievous if they get too close.

So next time you touch something, remember, it could have a whole world of tiny living things!
