What are metabolic disturbances?

Metabolic disturbances are like when your body’s kitchen gets confused about cooking.

Imagine your body is a big, busy kitchen, and everything it needs to grow, move, and stay healthy comes from food, like ingredients in a recipe. Metabolism is the process of turning those ingredients into energy and building blocks for your body. But sometimes, things go wrong in that kitchen, maybe the chef can’t measure the right amounts or the oven doesn’t heat up properly. That’s what we call a metabolic disturbance.

How it feels

If your body's kitchen is mixing up the recipes, you might feel tired, grumpy, or even grow too fast or too slow. For example, if your body can't use sugar properly, like when there's too much sugar in the air and not enough helpers to clean it up, that can cause a metabolic disturbance called diabetes.

Why it happens

Sometimes, this confusion is because of missing helpers or helpers who aren’t working right. It might be from eating too many sweets, not getting enough exercise, or just how your body was built from the start. But no matter what causes it, it’s like a little kitchen mishap that needs fixing!
