What are macronutrients?

Your body needs big energy helpers called macronutrients to keep you going all day.

Think of your body like a toy car, it needs gas to zoom around the room, and parts to stay strong. Macronutrients are like that gas and those parts!

What Are the Big Energy Helpers?

There are three main types:

  • Carbs are like the sugar in your cereal, they give you quick energy.
  • Proteins are like building blocks, they help your body grow and repair, just like Legos help build a castle.
  • Fats are like the butter on your toast, they give you slow, steady energy all day.

How Do They Work Together?

Imagine you're playing with your toys for hours. Carbs keep you active at first, proteins help you stay strong during playtime, and fats make sure you don’t get tired too quickly.

Your body uses these big energy helpers throughout the day, just like a toy car needs gas to keep moving!
