What are lower temperatures?

Lower temperatures are when things feel cooler or colder, just like when you step out of a warm bath and into the air.

Imagine your favorite drink, maybe it's juice or milk. When it’s at room temperature, it feels just right. But if you put it in the fridge for a while, it becomes chilled. That’s what happens with lower temperatures: things lose heat and become cooler.

How It Works

When something is hot, it has more energy, like when you jump into a pool on a sunny day. The water feels warm because it's holding onto that energy. But if the water stays in the fridge or outside at night, it starts to lose that energy. That’s why it feels cooler, and we call that a lower temperature.

A Real-Life Example

Think of your hands. When they’re near a heater, they feel warm because the heat is moving into them. But if you put your hands in ice water, the cold moves from the water to your hands, making them feel numb or shivery, that’s lower temperature in action!
