What are logical operations?

Logical operations are like simple rules that help us make decisions based on yes or no answers.

Imagine you have a toy box, and you want to know if you can play with your favorite toys. Let's say you need two conditions to be true: you must have finished your homework (yes), and it’s not time for bed (also yes). If both are yes, then you get to play!

How It Works

There are a few main types of logical operations:

  • And: Both things need to be true. Like needing both your homework done and bedtime not here yet.
  • Or: Only one of the things needs to be true. Maybe you can play if you finished your homework or it’s still light outside.
  • Not: This flips a condition. If bedtime is here (yes), then not bedtime means it's no, and you get to stay up!

These rules are like the brain of a simple robot that helps decide what happens next, using just yes or no answers, just like how you choose whether to play or not!
