What are lights from outside?

Lights from outside are bright things that help us see when it’s dark or not very bright.

Imagine you're playing in your room at night, and someone turns on a lamp, poof, the whole room becomes light! That's kind of what lights from outside do. They’re like big lamps in the sky, sometimes far away, but they shine really strongly so we can see things even when it’s dark.

How They Work

Lights from outside, like the sun, are like a giant flashlight up high. When it's day time, we don’t need extra lights because the sun is already shining. But at night, when the sky is dark, we might use lights from outside, like street lamps or moonlight, which is light from the moon, a big ball that reflects the sun’s light.

Why We Need Them

Sometimes it's cloudy or rainy, and not enough sunlight gets through. That’s when other outside lights come in handy, like streetlights that turn on automatically to help us see the road.

So, just like your nightlight helps you find your way to bed, lights from outside help us see our world even when it's dark!
