What are large populations?

A large population is when there are a lot of people living in one place, like a city or a country.

Imagine your classroom has 30 kids, that’s a normal day at school. Now imagine it's super crowded, and you have 10 times more kids than that, 300 kids all trying to fit into the same room! That would be very hard to move around in, right? That’s what a large population feels like in a big city, lots of people all living close together.

What Makes Populations Big?

A population is just a group of people who live in the same area. When that number gets really high, like hundreds or even millions, it becomes a large population.

Think about a park on a sunny day: it’s full of kids playing, parents walking, and maybe some grandparents sitting on benches. Now imagine that same park is filled with everybody from the whole town, that's what a large population looks like in action!
