What are knights?

Knights are brave people who wear armor and ride horses to protect others and fight in big battles.

Imagine you're playing a game of tag with your friends at the park. You're the one being chased, and suddenly someone comes running to help you, that’s like having a knight! Knights were like the superheroes of their time. They wore heavy armor, which was like wearing a super thick jacket and helmet, so they could take big hits in fights without getting hurt.

Knights used swords and shields, just like you might use a toy sword and a pillow to pretend you're fighting. They rode on strong horses, which helped them move fast across the battlefield, kind of like how your bike helps you zoom past your friends at the park.

Knights protected people, especially kings and queens, just like how your older brother or sister might protect you when you're playing a game. They were very brave, and sometimes they had to fight in big groups called armies, it was like having a whole team of friends helping you win the biggest game ever!
