Inner thoughts and feelings are like the secret messages your brain sends you when no one else is around.
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, and suddenly it breaks. You might feel sad inside, that’s a feeling. At the same time, you might be thinking, “I wish I could fix it,”, that’s an inner thought. They’re like the little voice in your head that talks to you when you're all by yourself.
Like Having a Best Friend Inside Your Head
Think of your brain as having a best friend who never leaves you. This friend can talk to you even when no one else is around. When you're happy, this friend says, “That was fun!” When you’re confused, they whisper, “Hmm, what should I do now?” These are your inner thoughts and feelings.
Sometimes you don’t say these things out loud because they’re just for you, like a secret only you and your brain know. But they help you understand how you're doing inside, even if no one else can see it.
