What are information ecosystems?

Information ecosystems are like big playgrounds where all kinds of ideas and facts play together.

Imagine you're in a park full of different games: some kids are playing tag, others are drawing pictures on the ground, and a few are building forts with sticks. Each part of the park is a little world that works well by itself, but they’re all connected, if one kid drops their ball, it might roll into someone else's game! That’s like an information ecosystem, a place where different kinds of information live together and help each other grow.

How Information Ecosystems Work

In the park, you have players, who are like people or computers that use the information. You also have rules, like how long you can play tag for or what colors you can use in your drawings, these are like the systems that keep everything organized.

When a new game comes to the park, it might bring more kids or even change the rules a little bit, just like when new information is added to an ecosystem, it affects everything around it.
