What are indistinguishable objects?

Indistinguishable objects are things that look exactly the same to us, even though they might not be the exact same thing.

Imagine you have two red marbles in your hand. To you, they both seem the same, same color, same size, same shape. But if you could look really closely, maybe one is slightly bigger than the other or has a tiny scratch. However, from far away or when you're playing with them quickly, you can’t tell which one is which.

Like Identical Twins

Think of indistinguishable objects like identical twins. From the outside, they look exactly alike, same clothes, same hair, same smile. If you’re not paying attention, you might think it’s just one person. But if you get close enough and ask them questions, you can tell them apart.

When It Matters

Sometimes, even though things look the same, it makes a difference. Like when you're playing hide-and-seek and there are two kids hiding in the same spot, they’re like indistinguishable objects to the seeker, but both are still playing!
