What are hormonal fluctuations?

Hormonal fluctuations are when your body’s hormones go up and down like a seesaw.

Imagine you have a favorite toy that makes you laugh, maybe it's a funny talking robot or a bouncy ball. Sometimes, the robot talks really loudly, and you can't stop laughing. Other times, it just hums quietly, and you're calm and happy. That’s kind of what happens with your hormones.

Hormones are like messages that help different parts of your body work together. When they go up or down, we call that a fluctuation, it can make you feel happy, sleepy, grumpy, or even extra energetic.

How It Feels

Think about when you're playing outside all day and then come home tired. Your hormones might be telling your body to rest. But if you get a surprise ice cream cone at dinner, your hormones might suddenly jump up and make you feel super excited, like you want to run around the house!

So, hormonal fluctuations are just your body sending different messages throughout the day, making you feel all sorts of fun things!
