What are higher attrition rates?

A higher attrition rate means more people are leaving a group or team than staying, like when your favorite soccer team loses a lot of players before the big game.

Imagine you're part of a club where everyone plays together every week. At first, there are 20 kids in the club. But then, some decide they want to join another club or just stop coming altogether. If 10 kids leave, that means the club has a high attrition rate because almost half of them aren’t there anymore.

Like a Playground Game

Think about playing tag at the playground. You start with 10 friends, but by the end of the game, only 3 are still running, the others got tired and left. That means the attrition rate is high, just like in our soccer club example.

If fewer people leave, that’s a lower attrition rate, like when almost everyone stays to play another round of tag. It's easier to keep playing with more friends around!
