What are heart notes?

A heart note is like the favorite song that plays in your head when you're happy, it’s what makes a smell or a scent feel special and lasting.

Imagine you're wearing perfume, and it starts with a bright, fun smell, maybe like oranges or strawberries. That's like the beginning of a story. But then, after a little while, something else comes in, maybe something warm, like vanilla or wood. That’s the heart note, it stays with you throughout the day, like your favorite toy that you carry everywhere.

Think of perfume as a layered cake. The first layer (called the top note) is what you smell right away, it's light and exciting, like the frosting on top. But the heart note is the middle part of the cake, it's soft and stays with you, like the sponge inside.

So when you wear perfume, the heart note keeps making you feel good all day long, just like your favorite song that plays in your head when you're happy.
