What are groups of people?

A group of people is when some friends or family decide to work together on a task or just hang out as a team.

Imagine you and your friends are playing a game at the park, like tag or hide-and-seek. You all agree on the rules, that’s like being in a group! A group of people can be anything: a team of kids building a fort with pillows, a class working together to solve a puzzle, or even a family cooking dinner.

Sometimes, groups have a leader. Like when you’re playing tag, one person might be "it" and decide where the game starts, that’s like being the group leader!

Groups can also have rules. If everyone agrees on how to play, it's fair for all of them. That makes the game more fun.

You see groups of people everywhere, in school, at the park, or even when you're playing with your toys! They help make things easier and more fun when you work together.
