Grades are like stickers you get for doing a really good job on your homework or projects.
Imagine you're playing a game where you have to collect coins every day. At the end of the week, if you collected lots of coins, you might get a special sticker, maybe a gold star! That's kind of what grades are like. They show how well you did in a subject, like math or reading.
What do grades look like?
Grades usually go from A to F. An A is the best grade, it means you did amazing! A F means you need to work harder next time. Sometimes teachers use numbers too, like 90 for an A, or 50 for a C.
Why do we have grades?
Grades help you and your teacher know how much you’ve learned. They’re like little reports that say, “Hey, you did great on this test!” or “Let’s practice more next time.”
Sometimes, grades can feel like a race, but remember, the goal is to learn, not just to win!
