What are gentle slopes?

A gentle slope is like a slow hill you can walk up without getting out of breath.

Imagine you're pushing your toy car from one side of the room to the other. If the floor is flat, it's easy, just a little nudge and whoosh, it goes! But if the floor slants a bit, like a ramp, that’s a slope. Now the car has to work a little harder to go up, but it still moves smoothly.

A gentle slope is like that soft ramp, not too steep, so your toy car (or you) doesn’t have to rush or strain. It's just a slow, easy climb.

Like a Staircase with Big Steps

Think of stairs: if there are lots of little steps, it’s like walking up a gentle slope, you don't get tired quickly. But if the steps are huge and you have to jump from one to the next, that's more like a steep hill.

So, a gentle slope is just something that goes up slowly, like a ramp or small stairs, perfect for walking, rolling, or even sliding!
