What are funnels?

A funnel is like a cone-shaped straw that helps things move from one place to another, especially when they’re going from big to small or from messy to neat.

Imagine you're at the kitchen table with a bowl of cereal. If you pour it directly into your mouth, some pieces might fall on the floor, messy! But if you use a funnel, like a cone-shaped helper, you put it over your mouth and pour the cereal through it. Now the cereal goes straight in, neat!

How Funnels Work

A funnel has two ends: one wide at the top, and one narrow at the bottom. When something flows into the wide end, like water or cereal, it gets guided down to the narrower part and comes out the other side.

This is helpful when you're pouring things from a big container into a smaller one, like pouring juice from a large jug into a small glass. The funnel keeps everything flowing smoothly without spilling all over the place. It’s just like a bridge for things that want to move from one spot to another, but with a twist!
