The Real Example: Your Nose
Your nose has some really flexible bones inside it. When you blow your nose hard or tip your head back to laugh, those bones shift and move, kind of like how a sponge changes shape when you press on it. Even though they're bones, they’re not as stiff as the ones in your arm or leg.
So, just like some parts of your body are soft and squishy, some bones can be bendy too, making them flexible bones.
Examples
- A child bends their arm to catch a ball without feeling pain.
- An old person moves their fingers slowly but smoothly.
- A dancer twists their body effortlessly during a turn.
