What are extended periods?

Extended periods are like longer versions of your favorite games, where you get to play for a much longer time than usual.

Imagine you're playing tag at recess with your friends. Usually, it lasts for 10 minutes, that's pretty fun! But sometimes, the teacher says, "let’s have an extended period of tag" and suddenly, you're running around for 30 minutes or even more. That extra time feels like a super long game, and everyone is happy because they get to play longer.

Like a Longer Nap

Another way to think about it: if you usually take a short nap after lunch, say, 15 minutes, an extended period would be like taking a longer nap, maybe 45 minutes. You feel more rested and ready for the rest of the day.

So whether it's playing games, napping, or even eating snacks, extended periods mean you get to enjoy something longer than usual, and that’s always a good thing!
