What are environmental influences?

Environmental influences are things around you that can change how you grow or act, just like a garden changes depending on the sun and rain.

Imagine you're a little plant in a garden. If it's sunny outside and there’s plenty of water, you’ll grow big and strong. But if it’s cloudy and dry, you might stay small or even get a bit sad. That’s how environmental influences work, they’re the things around you that can help you grow or make it harder to grow.

Like a Room Full of Friends

Think about your room at home. If it's full of friends who are loud and fun, you might be more cheerful and playful. But if it’s quiet and you're alone most of the time, you might feel calm or even sleepy. The people and things around you, like your room, your family, or even your school, can all be environmental influences.

Just like a plant needs sun and water, you need friends, activities, and a happy place to grow up strong and bright.
