An entity is just something that exists and can be counted or named, like your toys, your friends, or even your favorite ice cream flavor.
Imagine you have a box of blocks. Each block is an entity because it's a separate thing you can move around and play with. Now think about your pets: each one is its own special entity, too. You can count them, maybe you have 2 dogs, 1 cat, or even 3 chickens running around in the backyard.
Blocks and Friends
If you take out all the blocks from the box, they’re still entities because each one has its own place and shape. Just like your friends, even if they're all playing together, each one is a separate entity with their own name and favorite game.
You can also think of entities as characters in a story. Each one does something special, maybe a hero saves the day or a dragon breathes fire. Even though they’re part of the same story, they're still individual entities. An entity is just something that exists and can be counted or named, like your toys, your friends, or even your favorite ice cream flavor.

Examples
- A dog is an entity because it exists and can be recognized as a separate object.
- Your friend is an entity since they exist independently from you.
