Egyptians are people who lived long ago in a country called Egypt, near the top of Africa.
What did they look like?
What did they do?
They farmed along the Nile River, which is like having a long, wide river right outside your house that helps you grow food all year round. They also built amazing pyramids, huge triangle-shaped buildings, to keep their kings safe after they died. It’s kind of like building a special house for your favorite toy so it can rest forever.
Sometimes, Egyptians wrote on paper made from papyrus, which is like using a soft, flat plant to draw or write messages, just like you use paper to write notes to your friends.
