What are dolls?

Dolls are toys that look like people and can be dressed up or played with just like you.

Imagine you have a friend who is made out of soft fabric and has buttons for eyes, that's a doll! You can sit them on your bed, give them clothes from your closet, and even make them laugh by telling stories. Dolls are like pretend friends who don’t talk back but still enjoy the fun.

Dolls help you use your imagination. If you have a doll named Lucy, you can pretend she's going on an adventure with you, or maybe she’s learning how to tie her shoes just like you do. You can even play make-believe games where you and your doll go to the park or have tea parties.

Some dolls are small enough to fit in your hand, while others are as tall as you! Some have long hair that you can brush, just like yours. Others might even have a smiley face that makes them look happy when you give them a hug.

Dolls are special because they let you pretend and play, and sometimes, the best part is watching your doll laugh when you tell them a funny joke!
