What are dissolves?

A dissolve is when one thing changes into another slowly, just like when ice cream melts on a hot day.

How It Works

Imagine you have a cup of chocolate milk and a glass of orange juice. If you pour them together all at once, it’s like mixing two things, but if you do it really slowly, drop by drop, you can see one color turn into the other. That's what happens in a dissolve.

Like a Slow Change

Think about when you mix food coloring into water. If you drop the color in all at once, it mixes quickly. But if you add just a little bit of color each time, you can see the water slowly become colored, that’s like a dissolve too!

It's not magic, it’s just one thing changing into another really gently and slowly, piece by piece.
