What are different types of receptors?

Receptors are like special message detectors that help our body understand what’s going on around it.

Imagine your skin is covered in tiny receptors, like little sensors, some tell you when something is hot, others when it's rough or soft. These are called touch receptors. Just like how a phone has buttons that know when you press them, your skin knows when you touch something.

There are also smell receptors inside your nose, they catch tiny bits of air and say “Oh, that’s chocolate!” or “That’s wet grass!”

And in your ears, there are sound receptors that listen to music, laughter, or the sound of rain. They help you know what's going on around you.

Your eyes even have light receptors, like tiny cameras that take pictures and send them to your brain so you can see colors and shapes.

Each type of receptor is a little helper in your body, they all work together, just like a team of detectives solving mysteries every day!
