What are developmental factors?

Developmental factors are things that help you grow and change as you get bigger and smarter.

Imagine you're a seed growing into a big, strong tree. Just like a tree needs sunlight, water, and soil to grow, you need different kinds of help to become who you are.

Like a Seed Needs Help

Think about your favorite toy, maybe it's a train set or a building block. If you play with it every day, you learn how to stack blocks higher or make the train go faster. That’s like having a developmental factor, something that helps you grow and learn new things.

Like a Tree Needs Different Things

Sometimes, you need help from your family, friends, or even teachers. They give you ideas, support, and fun activities to try. Other times, you might need rest, food, or time to play outside. These are all developmental factors too, they’re like the sunlight and water that help you grow strong and happy.

Just like a tree can’t grow without its needs, you also need these special helpers every day!
