What are decisions?

A decision is when you pick one thing to do instead of another, like choosing your favorite toy from a pile.

Imagine you're at the park and you see two slides, one is tall and exciting, the other is short and cozy. You have to choose which one to go down first. That’s making a decision! It's like picking between chocolate ice cream or vanilla, both are good, but you pick one because it feels right.

What Makes a Decision Happen?

Sometimes you decide quickly, like when you're really hungry and you just grab the biggest sandwich. Other times, you think about it for a while, like when you’re choosing between playing with your brother or reading a book, both are fun, but you pick one based on what you want right then.

Why Decisions Matter

Every day, you make lots of little decisions, what to wear, what to eat, who to play with. These choices help shape the day and make it special. Even though they might seem small, they all add up!
