What are deaths?

A death is when someone stops living and leaves the world we know.

Imagine you have a favorite toy that you play with every day. It’s always there, making you laugh and having fun with you. Now, one day, it breaks completely, no fixing it, no more playing. That’s like what happens in a death. The person who was alive is now gone, just like your broken toy.

What Happens During a Death

When someone dies, their body stops working. Their heart doesn’t beat anymore, and they can't breathe or talk, just like when you go to sleep and don't wake up for a long time.

Sometimes people know they’re going to die soon, like when they're very sick. Other times, it happens suddenly, like when you drop your favorite toy and it breaks right then.

What Happens After a Death

After someone dies, their body goes through changes, just like how food changes when you cook it. People might say goodbye to the person who died, or they might put them in a special place so they can remember them.

A death is like saying goodbye to something you love, forever.
