What are connections?

A connection is like a special bridge that lets two things talk to each other.

Imagine you have two toy phones. When you press the button on one phone and hear the sound on the other, that’s a connection, it’s how they can share messages or sounds even though they're not touching.

Think of your favorite toy blocks. If you want to build a tall tower with your friend, you need to be able to pass the blocks back and forth. A connection is like that passing, it helps two things (like your phone and your friend’s phone) share information or messages.

Without a connection, your toy phones wouldn’t be able to talk to each other, just like how you can't pass your blocks to your friend if there's no way to send them. Connections are everywhere, they help your tablet talk to the internet, your video game controller talk to your console, and even your smartwatch know when to beep.
