Competitive interactions are when things fight for the same thing.
Imagine you and your friend both want to play with the same toy. If only one of you can have it at a time, that’s like competition, you’re both trying to get what you want, and it might feel like a little battle.
When Things Fight for Space
Think about two plants growing in the same pot. They both need sunlight and water. If there's not enough, they’ll try their best to get more than the other. That’s competitive interaction too, just like how you and your friend fight for that one toy.
Or maybe it’s like two kids trying to be the first in line for ice cream. Both want to go first, so they might push a little or shout a bit. That’s also competition!
Sometimes, when things compete, one ends up winning and the other has to wait, just like you might have to wait your turn for that toy or ice cream. But it's all part of the fun!
