What are color variations?

Color variations are when one color changes into different versions of itself, just like how a banana can be green, yellow, or brown.

Imagine you have a bag of blue crayons. Some are light blue, some are dark blue, and some are even a little purple. These are all color variations, they're still blue, but they look different because of small changes in their color.

Like Paint on a Wall

Think about painting your room. You might use the same red paint, but one wall looks lighter than another. Why? Because you added more water to the paint on one wall, making it lighter red, that’s a color variation too!

Mixing Colors is Like Making Smoothies

If you mix blue with a little bit of yellow, you get a different kind of blue, maybe a bluish-green. It's still related to blue, but not exactly the same. That’s also a color variation.

So when we talk about color variations, we're talking about how a single color can look slightly or greatly different, just like how your favorite fruit changes as it ripens!
