What are clues?

Clues are pieces of information that help you figure out what’s going on, like a puzzle piece that helps you see the whole picture.

Imagine you’re playing a game with your friend, and they hide a toy somewhere in the room. They give you hints about where it is. One hint might be, “It’s under something soft.” That hint is a clue, it helps you guess where the toy could be hidden.

Like a Detective

Sometimes, clues help solve a mystery, just like a detective solves a case. For example, if your favorite cookie disappears and there are crumbs on the floor, that’s a clue! It might mean someone (or something) was eating cookies, maybe even your dog!

Clues can be big or small, like:

  • A loud noise
  • A smelly sock
  • A drawing on the wall

Each clue helps you get closer to the answer, just like when you’re trying to find a hidden toy, and every hint makes it easier to find. Clues are pieces of information that help you figure out what’s going on, like a puzzle piece that helps you see the whole picture.
