What do we read?
In classical studies, you get to read the stories, plays, and even letters written by ancient Greeks and Romans. It's like going back in time to watch a movie that was made way before your parents were born, but instead of watching it on TV, you're reading it in Latin or Greek, which are like the first versions of English!
What do we learn?
When you study these old stories, you also learn about how people thought and lived back then. It’s like solving a puzzle: if you know what they wrote, you can guess what they were feeling or what their lives were like, just like figuring out how your favorite toy works by looking at the pieces.
Sometimes you even get to write in Latin yourself, which is like giving an old friend a new message to send back in time!
