What are celebrities?

Celebrities are people who become really well-known because lots of other people enjoy what they do.

Imagine you have a favorite toy, maybe it’s a robot that dances or a video game character you love to play with every day. Now imagine that toy was made by someone, and that person became so famous for making such cool toys that everyone talks about them. That's kind of like being a celebrity!

Some celebrities are actors, meaning they pretend to be other people in movies or on TV, just like you might dress up and act out stories with your friends.

Others are musicians who make songs that lots of people listen to, sometimes even when they're doing homework or playing outside.

People enjoy celebrities because they bring joy, fun, or inspiration. It's like having a friend who always makes you laugh, except this friend is known by millions of other friends too!
