What are brighter spots?

Brighter spots are areas that shine more than the rest, just like when you spill a little glitter on your bedroom floor, some parts have more glitter and look brighter under the light.

Imagine you're playing with a flashlight in a dark room. When you turn it on, the whole wall glows. But if you point the flashlight at one corner, that corner becomes a brighter spot because it gets more light than the other parts of the wall.

Now think about a sunny day outside, when you're walking through a park and see a patch of grass that looks greener than the rest. That’s like a brighter spot, too! It just happens to be greener instead of brighter. The sunlight hits it just right, making it stand out.

Sometimes, in pictures or on a screen, you can see spots that are shinier because they catch more light, like how your face looks when you’re sitting by the window at school and part of your face is glowing more than the other side.

So remember: a brighter spot is just a place where there's more light, making it look shinier or stand out from the rest.
