Imagine you're playing a game where you have to find your favorite toy in the house. If someone put up a big red balloon near the door, that would be a marker, it tells you, “Look here! The toy is close!” Big signs or markers are like those balloons but bigger and more noticeable.

Think of a park with lots of paths. It can be confusing if you don’t know where to go. That’s when big signs come in handy, they stand tall, have bright colors, and show arrows or words that say “Playground is this way!” or “Bike Trail starts here!”

If you're walking down the street and see a giant sign with your school’s name on it, that's a marker. It helps you know you’re going the right way, just like a lighthouse shows ships the way to shore!
