What are big buildings?

Big buildings are like really tall houses that can fit lots of people and things inside them.

Imagine your house is a little toy box, it’s just big enough for you and your toys. Now think about a big building like a giant toy box, so huge that it could hold all the kids in your school and their toys too!

Big buildings have many floors. A normal house might have two or three floors, like your bedroom, your parents’ room, and maybe a playroom on top. But a big building can have dozens of floors, just like stacking up lots of toy boxes one after another.

They’re also really wide. If you’ve ever been in a shopping mall, that’s kind of like being inside a big building, there are so many stores and people moving around!

Big buildings need strong walls and roofs, just like your house needs walls to keep the wind out. But instead of using small bricks, they use really large ones or special materials that can hold up all that weight.

So next time you see a big building, think of it as a giant toy box, only much bigger than anything in your room!
