What are beads?

Beads are small round things that you can string together to make cool patterns or jewelry.

Imagine you have a bunch of tiny marbles, like the ones you might play with at recess. Now, instead of rolling them around, you thread them onto a piece of string, and voilà, you’ve made a bracelet!

Beads come in all shapes and sizes. Some are smooth, like pebbles you find at the beach. Others have bumps or ridges, like raisins in a fruit salad. You can even find beads that look like buttons from your favorite clothes.

When you put them on a string, or maybe a piece of yarn, and tie it together, they make something pretty to wear. Some people use beads to make necklaces, bracelets, and even shoes!

Think about when you stack blocks to build towers. Beads are kind of like that too. Each one is a little building block, and together they can create something beautiful, just like your favorite toys or drawings!
