What are automation of routine tasks?

Automation of routine tasks is when machines or computers do the same job over and over again, just like you do when you clean your room every night.

Like a Robot Helper

Imagine you have a toy that sorts your blocks by color, red goes in one bin, blue in another. Every time you play with your blocks, the toy does the same thing: it picks up each block and puts it where it belongs. That's automation, the toy is doing a routine task without getting tired or making mistakes.

A Bigger Example

Now think about your lunchtime. Sometimes you have to line up for food, grab your plate, then sit down. But what if there was a robot that could bring your lunch straight to your table? That robot would be automating the task of bringing food, it does it the same way every day, so you don’t have to move around as much.

This is just like how some schools use machines to print out tests or how a vending machine gives you a soda when you press a button. They all do the same job again and again, without needing help from people each time!
