What are alliances and client states?

Alliances and client states are like when friends team up or one friend helps another in a special way.

Alliances are like when two or more kids decide to be best friends and help each other out when they need it. For example, imagine you and your friend both want to build the biggest sandcastle at the beach. You agree to work together, that’s an alliance. If someone else tries to take your bucket, you and your friend will stick up for each other.

What about client states?

A client state is like when one kid is really good at drawing, and another kid asks them to help draw a picture because they’re not as good. The first kid might say yes, that’s a client state. The second kid still has their own toys and friends, but they rely on the first kid for help sometimes.

Sometimes, if one kid keeps helping another, it can feel like a big friendship or even part of a bigger group, just like alliances!
