What are agents?

Agents are things that do stuff on their own, like you or your toys when they're pretending to be alive.

Imagine you have a robot friend named Zippy. Zippy can move around, pick up blocks, and even say "Hello!" when you wave at it. Zippy is an agent because it does actions by itself, no one has to tell it what to do every second.

What makes something an agent?

An agent is like a smart toy or robot that can make choices. It sees things, thinks about them, and then acts. You are also an agent, because you choose what to do, like picking up your snack or running in the park.

Sometimes, agents work together. Like when you and your friend both play with blocks, you're both agents making decisions on your own, but also working as a team!

Think of it this way: An agent is like a robot that can think and act all by itself, just like you!
