Wealth is how much you have, and value is what your stuff can really do for you, like having a big toy box versus having toys that make you super happy every day.
Imagine you have 10 toy cars. That’s wealth, you count them, and you know you’ve got 10. But if those cars are all broken, they don’t go very far. Now imagine you have just 3 toy cars, but they’re the fastest ones in the whole playground. Those 3 cars can race everyone and win, that’s value.
So wealth is like having a lot of toys, and value is like having the best toys that make you feel rich even if there aren’t as many.
What Makes You Feel Rich?
Sometimes people think having more means being richer. But sometimes, having fewer but better things can be more fun, and that’s what makes you feel rich in your heart.
Think of it like this: a big cookie might look nice, but a small chocolate bar can taste better. It all depends on what really gives you joy!
Examples
- A person with a lot of money but no assets may be wealthy, but not truly rich.
- Having a high-paying job doesn't always mean you're rich if your expenses are also high.
- A small business owner might have less money than a CEO but be much richer in value.
