What Did They Look Like?
Imagine stacking toys on top of each other, one on top of another, all the way up until you reach a point at the very top. That’s kind of what pyramids looked like! The bottom part was super wide, almost like a big square, and it got narrower as you went higher.
How Were They Built?
People used big stones, sometimes as heavy as your backpack full of books, and they pushed them up one by one, just like building with blocks. It took lots of people working together for many years to finish one pyramid.
Some pyramids had rooms inside where the king or queen would rest forever, and even a special room for their treasures, like shiny gold coins or pretty jewels.
So, pyramids were like giant, lasting gifts from the people who built them, big, strong, and full of wonder!
