Irrational exuberance is when people get super excited about something, even if it doesn’t make total sense.
Imagine you and your friends are playing with building blocks. One day, someone finds a special block that makes the tower twice as tall! Everyone gets super happy and starts using those blocks everywhere, even though they’re just regular blocks. They don’t stop to think: “Wait… why does this one make it taller?” That’s irrational exuberance, being overly excited about something without a good reason.
Like a Bubble Party
Think of it like a bubble party. At first, you blow one or two bubbles, they’re fun and pretty. But then everyone starts blowing bubbles nonstop, and soon the whole room is full of them! You don’t even notice how many there are because everyone is so excited. Sometimes, that’s when the bubbles pop, and suddenly everything seems smaller again.
That’s what happens in the real world too: people get super excited about something like a new toy or a new game, and they all jump on the bandwagon, even if it doesn’t really matter in the long run.
