PINK for girls, BLUE for boys - was it always like that?

PINK for girls, BLUE for boys, but it wasn’t always that way!

Long ago, pink and blue weren’t tied to being a girl or a boy. People just used them because they looked nice together, like how your favorite snack is sweet, and you love it even more when it’s with your best friend.

At first, people gave pink to boys, and blue to girls! It was kind of like choosing your favorite flavor of ice cream, sometimes you pick the one that's not your usual choice just for fun.
