Being a night owl might be good or bad for your body, depending on what you do during the day and night.
Imagine your body is like a clock, it has a special part called the circadian rhythm, which tells you when to feel sleepy and when to feel awake. Most people are early birds, meaning they go to bed early and wake up early. But some people, like night owls, stay up late and sleep in.
If a night owl goes to bed very late and wakes up very early, it can be like skipping breakfast, your body doesn’t get enough time to rest properly, which might make you feel tired or grumpy during the day.
But if a night owl stays up late and gets enough sleep overall, it might not hurt them at all. In fact, some people work better at night and feel more alert then, just like how some kids love playing outside in the evening but are sleepy after a long day at school.
So, being a night owl isn’t always harmful, it depends on your schedule and whether you get enough rest!
Examples
