If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound? Let’s find out!
Imagine you're playing with your favorite toy, maybe a drum or a bell. When you hit the drum, it thumps! You can feel that thump inside your chest. That's sound.
Now, picture a big tree in the forest. It sways and then crashes down. The air around it vibrates because of the fall, just like when you hit your drum. Those vibrations are sound waves.
But if no one is there to hear them, like no friends or animals nearby, those sound waves still travel through the air. They might not be heard, but they’re still there, just like your thump was still real even if no one else was listening.
So, even if no one is around, the tree still makes a sound, it’s just not being heard by anyone!
