How were the Great Pyramids of Giza built without modern tools?

The Great Pyramids of Giza were built using big rocks and lots of people working together, just like building a giant sandcastle.

Imagine you're at the beach with your friends, and you all want to build the biggest sandcastle ever. You don’t have a shovel, you just use your hands and buckets to carry the sand. That’s kind of how the ancient Egyptians built the pyramids.

The people used big stones that were cut from nearby mountains, like giant blocks of chocolate. Instead of using trucks or cranes, they rolled the stones on logs, which acted like wheels. It was like pushing a shopping cart across the floor, except with really heavy stuff!

Once the stones got to the building site, workers used ramps made of dirt and stone to move them up. Imagine climbing a slide that gets taller as you go, that’s how they built layer by layer, all the way to the top.

They didn’t have modern tools like we do today, but with teamwork, smart ideas, and lots of hard work, they were able to build something amazing that still stands today!
