How to put it on
- Hold the mask by its ear loops, which are the parts that go over your ears.
- Place the mask over your nose and mouth, making sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask.
- Press the metal strip (if there is one) on the top of the mask against your nose to help it fit snugly.
How to take it off
- Use your hands to gently remove the mask by its ear loops, not by touching the front part, that might have germs on it.
- Throw the mask away or put it in a bag if you're going to reuse it later.
Remember, just like how a superhero cape helps protect a hero, a medical mask helps protect you! Wearing a medical mask is like putting on a superhero cape, it helps protect you from tiny germs that might be floating around.
A medical mask is a piece of fabric or paper that covers your nose and mouth, like a little shield. It stops germs from entering through those two important areas.
Examples
- A child learns to wear a mask before going to school.
- An elderly person puts on a mask while visiting the grocery store.
- A worker wears a mask at their job site.
